Janess graduated Iverson's Court Reporting College in Arlington, Texas in 1990. She then moved to Memphis and was a reporter in both court and depositions. She then passed her Arkansas certification in 1993 and joined the Bushman team in 1994. In May of 2001, she passed the National Court Reporters Association certification and became a Registered Professional Reporter. She is a member of the National Court Reporters Association and the Arkansas Court Reporters Association.
